Surgery is tough, and recovery even tougher.  We see patients deal with it every day.  Ownership Health was created to guide them through surgical preparation and rehabilitation - to help lessen their struggle.  We provide patients with products and services so that they may play a more involved role in the recovery process.  We want patients to know how to take the best care of themselves.

Ownership Health was co-founded by a Harvard trained Orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement.  He kept hearing from patients over and over “Doc, what can i do to prepare for surgery? Tell me what I should do.”  He stressed the need to prepare properly.  Get medically cleared.  Put your affairs in order.  Build a support team. Become informed about the procedure.  And eat well, because research clearly showed the role nutrition played in the recovery process.  

We contacted leading nutritionists and dietitians from across the country to see what could be done, and to see how we could support patients nutritionally before and after surgery.   After two years of research and analysis, our first product, Nourish Rx Surgery was born.
